The #HDB4ElevateGreece Innovation Challenge returns for its third consecutive year.
We invite all companies registered with Elevate Greece – startups to participate with their innovative and disruptive ideas! The Innovation Challenge, now an established institution, renews its annual engagement with the companies of the innovation ecosystem.
For the third consecutive year, the Hellenic Development Bank (HDB), in exclusive collaboration with the National Startup Registry Elevate Greece, acting as innovation accelerators, co-organize the HDB Innovation Challenge, offering registered Elevate Greece companies the opportunity to transform their ideas into products or services.
The Hellenic Development Bank provides PoC (Proof of Concept) funding of up to €20,000 (including VAT) per thematic category, with the prospect of entering into a commercial cooperation agreement with the winning company.
Applications opened on 12 September 2023 and will close on 20 October 2023 via the Elevate Greece website.
This year’s competition aims to support creativity and cultivate a culture of innovation, while simultaneously contributing innovative solutions to address the negative impacts of climate change and the desertification of rural Greece.
In the 3rd HDB Innovation Challenge, participants can choose between two thematic categories:
- Development of an advanced digital platform for assessing risk factors arising from climate change and natural disasters affecting residential and business properties across geographical regions in Greece.
- Development of an advanced digital platform aimed at financing initiatives for the regeneration of abandoned villages with minimal (fewer than 50) or no permanent residents, with the objective of creating a tool to support investment decisions for the selection and revitalization of local communities.
