Within the framework of developing the digital community “InnoAgora” powered by HDB, hosted on the internationally renowned EuroQuity platform of the French Development Bank Bpifrance, the first “InnoAgora Investing Day” took place on Thursday, February 24, featuring presentations of Greek companies to investors.

The online event attracted over 50 investment funds, primarily Venture Capital Funds and Corporate VCs, from across Europe. Greek companies from the ICT (Information and Communication Technology), Agrifood, MarTech (Marketing Technology), and EduTech (Education Technology) sectors participated.

All participants had the opportunity to present their investment plans, with the total funding sought reaching €18 million in a Series A funding round (the first round of equity financing from venture capital).

Prior to the event, an online seminar on “Fundraising & Pitching Tips” was held on Tuesday, February 15, attended by more than 70 companies to prepare them for the presentations. Due to strong interest from Greek companies seeking funding, the InnoAgora Investing Days will be held again virtually on March 17 and in-person on April 4, 2022.

The InnoAgora HDB platform connects Greek companies with investors.

This free online networking platform, InnoAgora powered by HDB, offers Greek companies significant opportunities for international exposure and networking, while strengthening the country’s innovation ecosystem.

Through HDB’s initiative, selected Greek companies and organizations can create an online profile to showcase their unique competitive advantages and reach potential investors and partners.

To support this, a series of similar events has been planned throughout the year, available to all platform members.

Pantelis Tzortzakis, Vice President of HDB, stated:
“We are very pleased with the momentum InnoAgora has gained in its first few months of operation, now counting over 300 members. The first Investing Day, with participation from dozens of investors from Greece and other European countries, confirmed that this HDB initiative can enhance the international reach of the Greek innovation ecosystem and provide real value to dynamic companies.”
