Opportunity for Startups: The 2nd Innovation Challenge – Hellenic Development Bank

For the second consecutive year, the Hellenic Development Bank (HDB), in exclusive partnership with the National Startup Registry “Elevate Greece,” announced the 2nd Innovation Challenge titled “HDB Innovation Challenge” from Thessaloniki, within the framework of the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF). This year’s competition aims to create an advanced platform called Funding Wizard.

The platform will automatically collect and provide funding information from programs managed by public and private entities worldwide. In other words, it will be an aggregator of continuously updated information, including grants, co-financing, guarantees, or combinations thereof, based on the profile completed by the interested user on the HDB website: www.hdb.gr.

HDB is offering the winning company the opportunity to receive funding for a PoC (Proof of Concept) up to €20,000 (including VAT), with the potential for a commercial collaboration agreement.

The aim of HDB is to facilitate access to funding sources for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The Funding Wizard platform, which will provide a personalized search for funding programs, will complement the new Know Your Customer platform being developed by HDB, thereby transforming the funding landscape.

The idea will be recognized and promoted by HDB and its network of partners for its contribution to the easy search of funding sources, with a positive economic and social impact.

Applications opened on September 14, 2022, and will close on October 19, 2022.
